The Herbarium of Algae

The herbarium includes ca. 170,000 specimens of algae of all algal groups from all over the world. It holds the largest collection of Danish algae, and has large collections from Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, the Canary Islands, the Virgin Islands and Scandinavia. Most of the type-specimens have been registered and included in the type-database. The Faroe algae have been digitalised and the records can be found in a database.
